Open Houses  July 14

We would like new young members to join our team this fall, and we're hoping that you will take a little bit of your time to help the team. We are looking for help from all of our members to participate in Schools' Open Houses this fall.  We would like to have a Blackline Aquatics' table at as many Open Houses as possible.  It is a great way to get our name out in the area with very little cost and time commitment.  We would prefer Elementary Schools, as we need mostly Novice level swimmers.  We would supply brochures and posters, but we need some of you members to help us contact the school's principal for a table spot and then stand at the table that day.  Standing at the table is easy, and your swimmer can help out.  If your child attends a private school, we would like to supply flyers to those schools as well.  Please let me, Eva, know if you can look into an open house table at your school and then stand there during the open house.  Thanks!!!!

Blackline Aquatics First Annual "Run For Fun"  May 24

We have had about 70 swimmers and parents run in this event, and they all seemed to have a blast.  Nice job everyone!  Also, thank you to everyone donating and volunteering.  A special thanks to Melissa Kishish and Ron McGrane for organizing the event.  We hope to make this an annual "race".

Private lessons for Junior/Senior  April 14

At the end of last season, Scott felt like swimmers in the Junior and Senior group’s had taken a dramatic step towards really wanting to develop their mechanics. This has led him to add some options for those individuals interested. He is offering some private lessons on the weekends.

There is still an opening for a private lesson this Saturday, April 24th, at the 1:15-2 pm time slot.  If you are interested please let Scott know. There was a tremendous response to the lesson and he will be offering more in May. To see that schedule please visit his new website at www.SwimBikeRunMinnesota.com.

Master’s Swim Program  April 14

Starting this spring I, Scott, will be taking over the Master’s swim group at Blackline Aquatics. I am hoping to boost the numbers and I realize that there are some of you out there that currently swim on your own. Many of you do Triathlon’s during the summer, and as we get closer to the racing season, you are probably starting to look for better options. I am hoping to get some feedback from you all about a practice schedule that might work better. I have some thoughts, but please let me know if you’re interested or have other suggestions.

The practice time is currently Monday through Thursday mornings 5:30-7:00 am. Most get out when they need to for work.

Proposal 1.  Monday/Wednesday/Thursday mornings 5:30-7:00am and Sunday mornings 7:00-8:30am

Proposal 2.  Monday/Wednesday/Thursday mornings at said time and Saturday 11:00-12:30 or immediately following the Junior/Senior practices.

These proposals would be effective only during the school year and not affect the summer schedule. Our summer schedule would remain the same; Monday through Friday mornings at the Richfield Outdoor Pool.

To see that schedule please visit my new website at www.SwimBikeRunMinnesota.com.

Thank you.
